Which hull can carry a trawl net? Planning a DREDGE loadout

The first hull has no net space, and every tier changes how many rods, engines and lights fit. Plan the set before you pay for it.

Field guide

Every piece of gear is installed in a slot on the boat, and the hull tier decides how many slots there are. The first hull has seven rod spaces, four engine spaces, one light space and no net space. The second hull adds four net spaces, and the fifth reaches twenty rod spaces and ten engine spaces.

A trawl net is therefore a second-hull purchase. Basic Trawl Net reaches Coastal water, so it drags in Blue Mackerel while you work a rod elsewhere. Blacktip Reef Shark is also taken by trawl, but it lives in Oceanic water, which that net does not reach; Hydraulic Rod does.

In Loadout builder you choose a hull tier and the gear, and it shows the slots used against that tier and the habitats the set reaches. Nothing has to be bought or installed to see whether a plan fits.
