Which DREDGE fish earn the most per hold slot?

A fish’s price and its footprint in the hold together decide what a trip is worth. Value per slot ranks them, and your hull’s cargo spaces decide how many fit.
The hold is a grid, and every fish covers a fixed shape in it. A sale price alone does not say what a trip earns; divide it by the slots the fish covers and the ranking changes.
Oarfish, Gulper Eel and Coelacanth each sell for $250 across seven slots, about $35.71 a slot. Goliath Tigerfish fetches the same $250 but covers eight, which leaves $31.25 a slot. Further down the price list, Many-Eyed Mackerel sells for $40 on a two-slot footprint, the same $20 a slot that Blacktip Reef Shark earns at $120 across six.

Leftover space matters too. Cargo optimizer takes your hull tier and ranks fish by value per slot, by sale value, or by what a hold filled with one kind sells for, then finds the most valuable mix the cargo spaces can carry. A Tier 5 hull has 88 cargo spaces: twelve Oarfish fill 84 of them for $3,000, and two Giant Amphipod at $30 on two slots each bring the hold to $3,060. The count is in slots, and an Oarfish lies six cells long and two wide, so the hold’s real layout can take fewer.
